Concept & Smart Home KNX electrical planning
The “concept and electrical planning” starts directly after the architectural planning and when the interior design with furniture and fixtures has largely been finalized.
The electrical planning (blog post) is based on the planning data from the architect/interior designer and is based on CAD drawings, which are very often created in DWG format.
Electrical planning affects all areas/trades of a houseThis includes heating, air conditioning and ventilation planning (HVAC), kitchen planning, bathroom planning, sauna/pool planning and garden planning as far as the outdoor areas are concerned.
What does the concept include?
All components and their positions for the entire electrical installation are defined during the design phase. This includes, for example, the various KNX sensors, sockets, network sockets, loudspeakers, video cameras and control cabinets.
A very important Smart Home component is the lighting throughout the house and outdoor areas, which can consist of DALI, DMX and conventional luminaires. An experienced lighting designer is often part of the team in order to achieve a high level of perfection in terms of illumination and lighting quality.
At the same time as the design, we draw up a cost overview so that you as the client have precise budget control over the entire electrical work.
The electrician carrying out the installation can use the electrical planning drawings as a basis. Also included are the cable types and cable lengths determined by us, which are also important for the budget calculation.
The CAD planning contains the exact number and positions of all components of the house.
Throughout the entire planning process, we always ensure a perfect price-performance ratio, i.e. that high-quality components are used in the rooms that perfectly match the interior design in terms of function, color and aesthetics.

Remote planning - sparring partner
Since the corona period, we have increasingly relied on remote planning, which has proven to be cost-efficient based on our experience and construction site practice. This means that we are in contact with all those involved via video conferencing through precise timings and to-dos, allowing the best in their field to work together.
We are on hand as a sparring partner in the construction process as if we were on site. It often happens that we can coordinate and accompany the electrician’s inspections with short video conferences and exchanges via FaceTime camera.
